Meet Lennyshka Villegas Rodriguez, LSW
In-Person & Telehealth in PA
I believe therapy should be a place where children and teens feel safe being themselves, expressing what they’re feeling, and learning how to navigate experiences that may feel too big or difficult to handle on their own. Sometimes those feelings show up as anxiety, changes in behavior, difficulty at school, low self-esteem, grief, or challenges at home. My goal is to create a supportive space where young people feel heard and understood while helping them build the skills and confidence they need to grow.
As a bilingual Licensed Social Worker (LSW), I work with children, adolescents, and families through a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based lens. I earned my Master of Social Work from Marywood University and bring experience supporting children and teens across clinical, school, child welfare, and early childhood settings. I provide services in both English and Spanish and recognize the importance of understanding each child within the context of their family, culture, school, and community. I believe supporting a young person often means supporting the people around them too, and I value collaboration with parents and caregivers as part of helping children feel safe, supported, and successful.
Clients I work Best with:
I work best with children and adolescents ages 3+ who are navigating anxiety, grief, self-esteem, emotional or behavioral challenges, family changes, school concerns, or difficult life experiences. I especially enjoy supporting young people who may have a hard time expressing what they’re feeling or need extra support feeling safe, understood, and confident in who they are. I also value working alongside parents and caregivers to better understand their child’s needs and strengthen the support surrounding them.
Our work is about helping children and teens better understand themselves, their emotions, and the experiences shaping how they see and respond to the world around them. Together, we’ll build on their strengths, develop healthy ways to express and manage emotions, and create tools for navigating challenges at home, at school, and in relationships. Along the way, we’ll work toward greater confidence, connection, and a stronger sense of safety and trust in themselves.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
I am a bilingual Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a Master of Social Work from Marywood University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Cedar Crest College, along with a certificate in Child Welfare. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and families across behavioral health, early childhood, school, and child welfare settings, providing individual therapy, crisis intervention, behavioral support, and family-centered care.
I provide services in both English and Spanish and am especially passionate about culturally responsive, trauma-informed care that considers the whole child and the family, culture, school, and community surrounding them. My experience also includes supporting children with anxiety, grief, self-esteem, emotional and behavioral concerns, safety planning, and challenging life experiences, while collaborating with caregivers and other professionals to help children feel supported across the different areas of their lives.

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, strengths-based, culturally responsive, and centered around the individual needs of each child and family. I recognize that children’s emotions and behaviors are often connected to what they are experiencing within their relationships, family, school, culture, and environment. I incorporate behavioral interventions, emotional regulation and coping skills, psychoeducation, and developmentally appropriate approaches to help children feel safe expressing themselves and building new skills.
Because every child communicates and processes experiences differently, therapy won’t look exactly the same for everyone. Depending on your child’s age and needs, our work may focus on identifying and expressing emotions, developing coping skills, building self-esteem, navigating challenging behaviors or experiences, and strengthening connections with caregivers and other important people in their lives.

I believe children do their best when they feel safe, understood, and supported by the people around them. I want therapy to be a space where your child can be themselves, express big feelings, build trust, and know they don’t have to have all the right words to communicate what they’re experiencing. I’ll meet your child where they are while helping them build confidence, coping skills, and a better understanding of themselves and their emotions.
I also believe parents and caregivers are an important part of the process. You can expect me to approach your family with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment while working together to understand what your child may need. We’ll celebrate progress, work through the harder moments, and remember that growth can look different for every child and every family.
