De Mi Mesa a La Tuya: Cafecito y Chisme

  • The Cozy Corner Counseling 2857 Nazareth Road Easton, PA, 18045 United States (map)

A Latine-inspired Friendsgiving celebrating food, gratitude, storytelling, and community.

This November, Cafecito y Chisme is gathering around the table for something a little different!

In many Latine households, food is more than nourishment. It’s how we show love, preserve traditions, share memories, and connect across generations. And sometimes, the best conversations happen long after the meal is over. We call that la sobremesa.

Join us for a cozy, community-centered potluck where we’ll explore gratitude, belonging, and the traditions that shape us.

What to Expect

Potluck de Corazón | A Potluck From the Heart

Bring a favorite dish, family recipe, or comfort food that represents a piece of your story. Whether it’s something passed down through generations or something you’ve made your own, all dishes are welcome. Bringing food is encouraged but not required.

La Historia de Mi Plato | Every Dish Has a Story

Behind every meaningful dish is a memory. We’ll invite participants to share the stories, traditions, and connections behind the food they bring.

El Mantel de Gratitud | A Table Full of Gratitude

Together, we’ll create a communal tablecloth filled with words, drawings, affirmations, and reflections. A reminder that gratitude can exist alongside challenges, growth, grief, and everything in between.

Sobremesa y Chisme | Stay a Little Longer

Grab some cafecito, settle in, and enjoy meaningful conversations about family, chosen family, cultural expectations, gratitude, and what it means to belong.

A Space for Gratitude, Without the Pressure

Gratitude doesn’t mean overlooking difficult experiences or pretending everything is perfect. This gathering invites us to appreciate what has supported us while honoring the complexities of our individual stories.

Whether you’re coming with friends, family, or on your own, you’re welcome here.

Admission: $10 per person

Includes facilitated activities, cafecito, and community connection. Potluck contributions are completely optional. Please label shared dishes with ingredients and common allergens.

Siempre hay un lugar para ti en nuestra mesa.

Come as you are, bring what you can, and stay for the chisme.
